Monster Night!

This is one of a new bunch of Halloween pictures I've been working on. Originally, I was going to do just the one --- family had been asking me to do one for a long time. It turned out so well, and so fun to do, that I kept going. I'm hoping that they may turn into a book, but in the meeantime, I'm looking into a limited-run print of one or two.

Some Video from the Hobbit Hole

Here's some video from my studio, with new bus shelter murals dominating the space.

A Few Pieces I Did This Summer...

Here are a few pieces that got done this Summer; I spent most of my time in the studio working on bus-shelter murals (which I'll upload some video of shortly), so personal or smaller illo work was fairly thin. Nevertherless, looking forward to more work this Autumn.

Drawing at Flatcolor Gallery

Here's some footage of a new monthly event my excellent friend (and brilliant artist) Robert Hardgrave has spearheaded, where a group of artists get together at Seattle's Flatcolor Gallery --- in Pioneer Square at 1st and King --- who then draw for four hours, and sell the drawings cheap at the end. It was great fun; check it out in September (and every month after).

Shakti and Shiva v.2

This is a piece created principally for the 2009 Seattle Erotic Art Festival; I wanted to take the elements of the earlier commission I did, which was very rewarding, and strip away some of the restrictions to figuation that the other job demanded. I'm very pleassed with this one, and get to go to a sexy party to boot.

Some New Fun Stuff

My daughter Jahnavi has started making little Sculpey figures that she trades at school. I had a plan to make some recycled dolls awhile back, and came across this lass. She's not finished.

A Few New Pieces...

Thus far, 2009 has proven a productive year. The top piece can be found at Seattle's fabulous Rendezvous, home of the Jewelbox Theater, in Belltown. We're dedicating it Thursday, March 3rd following the First Thursday walk. Stay tuned for Woozles!

WHite Phosphorous

Just finished this one. Possibly my best yet.

Odysseus and the Sirens

This one was around for years, notable only for the erect penis I affixed to our hero. I went back to it with the new approach, and while I could go further, I don't think I will..

New Longitudes

This is a pivotal painting for me (this one came before the commission below), the first confident application of what appears to be a mature signature sensibility.
